Pastor Willie Mingo

Pastor Mingo has been married to Lady Tanya Mingo for 34 years. Pastor Mingo was born in Charlotte, N.C. He attended North Carolina Central University in Durham, N.C. on a Football Scholarship & graduate in four years with a BA Degree in Management. He obtained a Master Degree in Urban Ministry Cum Laude from Trinity Evangelical University, in Deerfield, IL. He also received a second Master’s Degree from Trinity Evangelical University, in Christian Studies, Cum Laude and earned a M-DIV Equivalent. He attended Child Evangelism Fellowship & completed their course work for Teaching Children Effectively.

He is a certified Chaplain with the Church of God Chaplains Commission. He is an ordained Elder. He has served as a Youth Pastor for the past 13 years & organized the Youth Department @ Prayer Tower Ministries. He has organized a number of Youth retreats and taken Youth around the country for a number of years. He has taken them to a number of Youth Conferences as well as to Disney World,  Myrtle Beach S.C., and Washington, D.C. Pastor Mingo has organized fund raisers so that the trips could be affordable for youth. He has traveled to Cape Town & Johannesburg South Africa and ministered on a short term mission trip where souls were saved. He has travel to Israel and received additional biblical education. He has organized a Marriage Seminar. He has served in a number of roles in the church such as Assistant Financial Secretary, Men’s Day Coordinator, Outreach Team Member to include Street Meetings. He has been part of the Administrative Office Staff.

 He has conducted services at Statesville Prison and taught Bible Study on Saturday & Sunday Mornings. He has assisted in the Hospital Ministry and Homeless Shelter Ministry and feed the hungry. He has taken groups to the Morning Star Mission to provide shoes & cloths & served meals. He has taken groups to Pacific Garden Mission to serve meals & too minister.  He has served along with the youth @The Feed My Starving Children Ministry numerous times. He has taken Youth Groups to nursing homes to serve and sing in the nursing homes and at the local mall. He has lead all night Prayer Meetings. He has been a Prayer Leader with the Saturday Morning Prayer Group. He has been a VBS coordinator & established Youth Fun Days.

He has organized drives to provide back to school supplies for youth. He has work with the Toys for Tots Agency. Pastor Mingo has work along with the youth with the National Cancer Society.  He has taught Sunday School as needed. He has worked in the insurance industry as a manager as well as other roles. He recently became the Vice President of Nehemiah House a 501(c)3 Organization. Nehemiah House provides individuals and families with food & clothing needs, (Stabilizing Communities One Family At A Time). 

Most of all Pastor Mingo is saved and filled with the Holy Ghost.

Lady Tanya Mingo

Lady Tanya Mingo was born in Plymouth North Carolina to the late Louis and Sudie Moore.  She received salvation  as a member of the Church of God in Christ located on the corner of 6th and Madison Street under the Leadership of who is now the Bishop LeRoy Jackson Woolard.  After finishing elementary and high school, she went to North Carolina Central University, where she obtained a Bachelors degree in Business (Finance).  

She was previously a member of the Prayer Tower Church of God in Christ for 34 years.  She has worked in the following area of the church:  Financial Secretary, Mother’s Board & Missionary Department. She has also assisted Pastor Mingo in the Youth Department. She has taught Sunday School.  She is a retired Deputy Court Clerk with the County of Will Illinois, Circuit Clerks Office. She worked 21 years in the  Child Support Division.
